Psalm 1:2 …in his law doth he meditate day and night.
The fifth and final Principle for Prosperity is to meditate always in the Law of the Lord. There have been many advancements in technology today that are a great help in keeping this principle. Dramatized narrations of the Bible on CDs are wonderful. They are like an old time radio program. They have background music and various voices for the different characters which make them very intriguing. Putting these in your automobile and listening to them as you drive will greatly aide in meditating always in the Law of the Lord.
Smart phones, so called, also have apps that can be downloaded that will automatically scroll as a person reads, automatic bookmarks, and some even narrate as they scroll. Some places do not allow Bibles, but they do allow phones, go figure! Devotionals are everywhere and written on just about any topic that a person would want to learn more about.
Factually, it is more convenient today to meditate on the Law of the Lord than ever before. There are churches galore, seminars, small group studies, television channels, and a myriad of other avenues to hear the Law of the Lord taught, preached, and discussed, but with all of these conveniences one thing is still needed. The one thing that has not changed over the centuries, the one thing that hinders most from keeping this principle number five is the desire and will of the individual to do that which we are reminded to do. Meditate on the Law of the Lord.
Meditation is a private matter; no one else can meditate on anything for you. Meditation includes time. It takes time to meditate on any subject. Meditation on the Law of the Lord is incumbent upon knowing the Law of the Lord. Meditation on the Law of the Lord means that other thoughts must be set aside. Mediation takes mental control, mental strength, and mental alertness.
Before Psalm 1 was ever written the Lord God said to Joshua: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8) This principle is found throughout Scripture, in both the Old and New Testaments. Speaking of the Law of the Lord Paul told Timothy: Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. (I Timothy 4:15).
These Principles of Prosperity are eternal, they will work in every age, every nation, every business, and in every life.
