Business by the Book

Proverbs 11:3  The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

In electricity there is a term called “circuit integrity.”  It means that an electrical circuit will maintain its integrity during a fire. The fire resistance rating of a circuit measures the amount of heat the circuit can withstand. In case of a fire, various electrical circuits must be protected to ensure that they will maintain integrity. Evaluations are performed to test the fire resistance of the circuit’s components. One stage of this testing is to actually apply extreme heat to the components of the circuit in order to ascertain how much heat they can withstand prior to failing.

Similarly in business a person’s integrity will be tested. It is in this time of testing that the very integrity that is being tested will guide that individual. Just as the built in fire protection will enable an electrical circuit to continue to function properly in the time of fire, so too will the integrity of a person allow them to continue to function properly in time of heated situations. By being put to the heat of testing a person’s true integrity will be manifested.

With this thought in mind perhaps the heated testing we so despise is really a wonderful ally. This testing helps us to know the amount of integrity we possess.

I just wanted to give you a different perspective of the heat of testing when it comes.
