Business by the Book
Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
No matter how one earns riches, it is the blessing of the Lord that made it possible. It is the Lord that gives air to breath, water to drink, and food in its due season. He created energy, muscles, the brain, the principles of logic, and every other ingredient needed to make one rich. Even if one is made rich by playing the lottery, a poor life plan for obtaining riches, they are made rich by the money other people have earned and pay into the lottery for their chance to win.
When the Lord blesses with riches there is no guilt, remorse, or sorrow resulting from the way the riches were obtained. He may bless a person with unusual intellect with which that person pursues higher education and puts that intelligence to work thereby earning a good living. He may bless a person by some energy company locating and extracting oil and gas from property to which that person holds the mineral rights. He may allow a person to inherit riches, which is a responsibility to be managed for future generations. There are uncounted ways God can bless so that people “strike it rich.” When He does so, there is no sorrow attached (understanding that inheritance is obtained through the sorrow of losing a loved one).
If riches have found your pocketbook remember, the blessings of God have worked together to produce them. Yes, you did your part and He did His part, which has created a wonderful partnership of which no sorrow can rightly invade.
